Kamadan is amazing today and yesterday
I love 6k ping, taking minutes to load in and out of kamadan. Wasn't this problem fixed a week ago?

The lag in Kamadan is ridiculous.
I have moved my GW trading business to LA until the stupid event is over.

So yeah if you are really having issues post it with more detail in the Technician thread, where you are likely to get help, instead of more "QQ" and "ANet sux" posts.

It isnt a tech issue obviously, you seem to not see that. Its the server. I tried to get some fruitcakes and there were none in LA, moved to kamadan and boom couldn't load. Got error message not from the game but from gw.exe grey box.

It's a legitimate complaint. I went in last night to see what the trade channel was like and found myself red dotted 6-8k ping while everything else seems to be fine. Not a computer or ISP issue it's something on Anet's end otherwise it would be everywhere.

Yes, it is crazy at times. I go to the quiet dists rather, but often you get dumped in d1 and then you're RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOed.
It's those damn snow flakes, I tell ya!

I normally run right around 120 ping. its almost stuck at 120. but yesterday in EotN and Spamadan it was jump right into the stratosphere 10k+.
I can sympathize with people upset over it but......well what ya gonna do?
In EotN they seemed to keep the districts capped at a pretty low number. i dont know if that has any bearing but it was a thought.

lag has nothing to do with computer specs.....lots of people are experiencing it currently, who normally have no issues.
Yes lagdan is the worst right now, but eye is also pretty slow---I dc'd from it once today and once yesterday (never loaded after about 5 minutes).....{and hubby had it crash his computer completely.(yes that is a computer issue).}

just to confirm with everyone yes its a known issue and has been happening strangely only in certain districts of kamadan and eotn since the wintersday started so i lol at people trying to diss folk by saying get a new pc and internet considering this time the lag happen's to everyone in the affected districts and ranges from 2-20k pings no matter where people are from and what there pcs/internet are/is anyways best option is to switch districts intill you find a good one and wtb punctuation

The solution to much of this problem: Allow more than just the 3 town in the travel-ship. Let us warp directly into ANY capitol town via boat. This lets the through-traffic bypass Kama.

Right on!. Anyone who is A+ certified knows that Kamadan is the most reliable hardware bench test available. I understand Intel is working on a new quad core that is Kamadan certified.
Now that I got the sarcasm out of my system - like most everyone else the best I get is 2000 ping. Just went From Lions Arch to Kamadan to look for Nicholas and was stuck there. Actually took about 3 mins for "m" to bring up the map, and never was able to map to Camp Hojanu - had to shut down and restart the game.

Yeah, this has NOTHING to do with the players. Regina even acknowledged a while back that Kamadan was having lag issues(which I applaud her for doing). Unfortunately, I can't applaud the lack of fixing. I've also noticed this is American districts in EotN.
I don't know why the knee jerk reaction of so many people is "YOUR COMPUTER SUCKS YOUR INTERNET SUCKS YOU SUCK ANET'S SERVERS ARE INFALLIBLE", as opposed to "The servers might be lagging during an event, which explains why it only happens in certain districts".

Festival City = Lagfest. It's been that way since the first Halloween event in Lion's Arch way back on 2005. It's a server-side issue and always has been. (This Friday, be grateful that the finale prezzies go straight into inventories and not dumped on the ground like in days of yore!)
PREDICTION: When Cantha New Year rolls around, someone will make a thread here complaining about the lag in Shing Jea Monestary.
